The Shop is located next to our office and salesroom. We do all of the lettering and carving work at the Shop.
The Birdseye view on the left and the image above give you an idea of the general size and layout of the shop. The shop houses our Shape Carving Room, three automatic and manual sandblasting rooms, Steeling & Dusting Rooms, Laser Etching Machine, Hand Etching & Shading Area, Layout Area, Stencil Cutting Area, Crating Room, and Cleaning Area.
The Pictures on the left show where we do all of the shading/ coloring of carvings and where we do all of our hand etchings.
The stencil cutting area is in between our layout area and sandblast rooms. We try to use the most of our space by keeping the products flowing through each step of the lettering/ carving process on our track system.
We have been using our Laser Etcher for the past four years. We use our Laser for Portraits on plaques and memorials, custom designs, and KMW designs on glass, black marble and granite. The laser is able to cut scenes of any size with its 52" cutting span.
Our Steeling/ hiliting area is the last area a product goes to when a order calls for our standard double processed shape carvings.
The second picture shows our cart that we use to move products in from outside. You can see Ed enroute towards the layout area with a monument.
